One row repeat crochet stitch
An easy beginner-friendly crochet stitch which uses extended single crochet stitches and a single chain repeated across the row.
In this video tutorial I use Aran weight yarn and a size 5 mm crochet hook.
Start with an even number of stitches
ROW 1 Starting in the 4th chain from hook, work 1 extended single crochet. *Chain 1. Skip one chain, extended single crochet in next chain. Repeat from * across the row, ending with 1 extended single crochet into the last chain. Chain 2 and turn.
ROW 2 Starting in the first chain space from previous row, work 1 extended single crochet. *Chain 1, skip 1 extended single crochet, extended single crochet in next chain 1 space, repeat from * across the row, ending with 1 extended single crochet worked into the space between the final extended single crochet and chain 2 turning chain from the previous row. Chain 2 and turn.
Repeat Row 2 until the project is the length you need.
